{"id":99045,"date":"2021-01-15T16:44:16","date_gmt":"2021-01-15T16:44:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/?post_type=companies&#038;p=99045"},"modified":"2021-02-04T16:49:07","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T16:49:07","slug":"artist-partner-group-apg","status":"publish","type":"companies","link":"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/companies\/artist-partner-group-apg\/","title":{"rendered":"Artist Partner Group (APG)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Artist Partner Group (APG) is a record company established by Mike Caren.<\/p>\n<p>Artist Partner Group launched in Los Angeles in 2013 as a sister company to Caren\u2019s Artist Publishing Group.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, Warner Music Group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/warner-promotes-mike-care-and-pumps-millions-into-his-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">made an equity investment<\/a> in Artist Partner Group believed to be worth multiple millions of dollars.<\/p>\n<p>At this time, Artist Partner Group operated a partner label of Atlantic Records,<\/p>\n<p>Artists broken by APG in the modern era include Charlie Puth, Kevin Gates, Kehlani, and Axa Max.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h6>Warner Investment and Atlantic catalog acquisition<\/h6>\n<p>In November 2020, Warner Music Group and Mike Caren announced that Atlantic Records <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/mike-carens-apg-goes-fully-independent-as-existing-artist-roster-moves-inside-atlantic-records\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">had fully acquired APG&#8217;s catalog and roster.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the time, Mike Caren said: &#8220;This is an exciting new chapter for Artist Partner Group and the amazing roster of artists we have worked with over the last eight years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am thankful to the entire APG and Atlantic teams and all of the incredible talent that continually inspire us.
