There, she wrote her debut EP, <strong>2021<\/strong>&#8216;s <em>Typical of Me<\/em>, whose lead single <em>Street by Street<\/em> debuted at No. <strong>1<\/strong> on Icelandic radio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laufey<\/strong> signed a recordings deal with <strong>AWAL<\/strong> \u2014 the Sony Music Group-owned label \u2014 in <strong>2021<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/after-dropping-the-biggest-jazz-album-debut-in-spotify-history-laufey-extends-global-deal-with-awal\/\">extended that partnership in November 2023<\/a> following the release of <em>Bewitched<\/em>, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/with-the-biggest-jazz-album-debut-in-spotify-history-awal-says-laufey-is-bringing-jazz-to-gen-z\/\">broke the record for the biggest debut for a jazz album on Spotify<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Her third album, <em>A Matter of Time<\/em>, was released in August <strong>2025<\/strong> via <strong>Vingolf Recordings<\/strong> and <strong>AWAL<\/strong>, debuting at No. <strong>4<\/strong> on the <strong>Billboard 200<\/strong> and No. <strong>1<\/strong> on the Jazz Albums chart.
