With Deezer for Business, our partners get access to a fully licensed catalog, scalable world-class tech, and decades of music industry expertise to guide them every step of the way.&#8221;<\/p>\n      <div class=\"mb-advert__incontent\">      <div class=\"mb-advert mb-advert__spu\" data-loaded=\"no\" data-name=\"300x250 Sponsor MPU #1\" data-params=\"dfp_spu1\" id=\"dfp_spu1\"><\/div>      <\/div>      \n<p>Deezer, which says it remains the only streaming service to actively detect and label AI-generated content, first launched its proprietary AI detection tool in January last year.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2026, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/60000-ai-tracks-hit-deezer-daily-as-platform-moves-to-license-detection-tech-to-wider-music-industry\/\">the company disclosed<\/a> that it was receiving approximately 60,000 fully AI-generated tracks per day \u2014 around 39% of all daily deliveries to the platform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Up to 85% of streams on that content were detected as fraudulent, demonetized, and removed from the royalty pool, according to the company. Deezer has already begun licensing the technology commercially, including to French collecting society Sacem.<\/p>\n      <div class=\"mb-advert__incontent\">      <div class=\"mb-advert mb-advert__spu\" data-loaded=\"no\" data-name=\"300x250 Sponsor MPU #2\" data-params=\"dfp_spu2\" id=\"dfp_spu2\"><\/div>      <\/div>      \n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The streamer <a class=\"link-external\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom-deezer.com\/2026\/03\/deezer-achieves-profitability-in-fy25-as-strategy-delivers-tangible-results\/\">published its full-year results<\/a> on Wednesday (March 18), reporting net income of EUR \u20ac8.5 million for fiscal year 2025, reversing a \u20ac26 million loss the prior year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">That turnaround was driven not by subscriber growth but by a shift toward higher-value direct customers and aggressive cost-cutting.<\/p>\n<p>Deezer reports its subscriber base in two categories:\u00a0<strong>\u2018Direct\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0subscribers, who sign up and pay for the service themselves, and\u00a0<strong>\u2018Partnerships\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0subscribers, who access Deezer through third-party bundles \u2014 typically with telcos such as\u00a0<strong>Orange<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Bouygues<\/strong>, or through commercial tie-ups like its deal with German broadcaster\u00a0<strong>RTL+<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Deezer&#8217;s total subscriber base fell<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong> 6.5% YoY<\/strong><\/span> in 2025 to <strong>9.1 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Partnership subscribers bore the brunt of the decline, falling <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>24.2% YoY<\/strong><\/span> to <strong>3.4 million<\/strong>, largely due to churn from promotional cohorts tied to its Mercado Libre deal in Brazil. Deezer for Business is designed to scale that trajectory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Speaking at a press conference last Thursday (March 19), Delbourg said B2B is not a new direction for the company. Deezer struck its first bundled telco partnership with Orange in 2010, and many of the relationships on its current partner roster span eight to 16 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Deezer for Professionals \u2014 the newest of the five pillars \u2014 launched as a pilot in 2025 and has onboarded more than 300 customers during testing, he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">&#8220;We&#8217;ve been building muscles over the past 20 years, and it&#8217;s been core to the company close to its beginnings,&#8221; Delbourg said. &#8220;It&#8217;s one platform, one brand, built around five solutions, supported by those 20 years of expertise.&#8221;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Separately, Deezer announced a renewed partnership with US speaker manufacturer Sonos. Deezer has powered Sonos Radio and its subscription tier Sonos Radio HD since 2023.
