At the time, the company said: \u201cThe platform offers international users access to concerts, sporting events, music festivals, theater productions, and more at home and abroad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Alibaba also described MAISEAT\u2019s launch as \u201ca significant step in Alibaba Group&#8217;s ongoing internationalization strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Shortly after the November launch, MAISEAT <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/maiseat-app-launches-globally-secures-070600532.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">launched<\/a> its global app in December, at the time revealing that it secured ticketing rights for over 20 major international events. The <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/nz\/app\/maiseat\/id6755761491\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a> offers support for Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean language. It integrates with Alipay&#8217;s global payment network.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">These efforts come as Alibaba <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.hkexnews.hk\/listedco\/listconews\/sehk\/2025\/0625\/2025062501626.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rebranded<\/a> <b>Alibaba Pictures Group<\/b> into<b> Damai Entertainment Holdings<\/b> in June 2025. The change came as the film subsidiary of the Chinese tech conglomerate ventured into other areas of entertainment including live concerts and events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In the six months ended September 30, 2025, Damai\u2019s profit attributable to owners of the company surged <b>54%<\/b> <b>YoY<\/b> to <b>RMB 519.5 million<\/b> (USD $73 million at the average exchange rate for 2025), while revenue jumped <b>33% YoY<\/b> in the six-month period to <b>RMB 4 billion<\/b> ($561m).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">      <div class=\"mb-advert__incontent\">      <div class=\"mb-advert mb-advert__spu\" data-loaded=\"no\" data-name=\"300x250 Sponsor MPU #2\" data-params=\"dfp_spu2\" id=\"dfp_spu2\"><\/div>      <\/div>      <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Following Damai\u2019s transition, the company now offers content production, promotion and distribution, IP merchandizing, licensing and commercial management, cinema and entertainment event ticketing management, and internet data services for the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">According to Damai\u2019s fiscal <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.hkexnews.hk\/listedco\/listconews\/sehk\/2025\/1223\/2025122300240.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first-half report<\/a> for the period ended September 30, the company has access to over<b> 20,000<\/b> venues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">During that same period, Damai logged revenues of <b>RMB 1.34 billion<\/b> ($188m) in its live content and technology business, which spans its performance ticketing business, live entertainment content and international business.
