Now it&#8217;s teaming up with SeatGeek to drive even more"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Last month, Spotify&#8217;s Head of Music, Charlie Hellman, revealed in a blog post that the streaming giant paid out over $11 billion to the music industry in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Buried in the <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.spotify.com\/2026-01-28\/2025-music-industry-payouts-whats-next-for-artists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">same post<\/a> was another eye-catching stat: According to Hellman, Spotify has, to date, &#8220;helped artists generate more than <strong>$1 billion<\/strong> in ticket sales.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The streaming giant aggregates concert listings via integrations with multiple partners, including Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, AXS, Bandsintown, Japan&#8217;s ZAIKO, as well as UK-headquartered ticketing platform Skiddle and Dutch event management platform Stager. That same year, the company started testing direct concert ticket sales to fans through a dedicated &#8216;Spotify Tickets&#8217; site.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">However, the direct ticketing experiment proved challenging, with Spotify retreating from ticket sales in 2024 and pivoting toward partnerships with established ticketing companies.
