HYBE AMERICA has announced that Scott Borchetta is departing the company.<\/p>\n

Borchetta has served as the CEO of Big Machine Label Group since HYBE\u2019s purchase of Scooter Braun\u2019s Ithaca Holdings<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n

BMLG<\/strong>\u00a0was acquired<\/a> by Scooter Braun\u2019s Ithaca Holdings in 2019. The entirety of Ithaca, including BMLG and Braun\u2019s SB Projects, was then\u00a0acquired by South Korea\u2019s HYBE<\/a>\u00a0in a $1.05 billion deal in 2021.<\/p>\n

Scooter Braun exited <\/a>his role as CEO of HYBE AMERICA in July last year.<\/p>\n

Borchetta founded Big Machine Records in 2005. The press release noted on Thursday (February 12) that under his leadership, the company has developed and supported “some of the music industry\u2019s most successful artists of the past two decades”.<\/p>\n

Borchetta will continue to use the Big Machine Records brand for his future ventures.<\/p>\n

HYBE AMERICA says it will retain assets, the distribution deal, the publishing company Big Machine Music, and a number of artists currently on the label\u2019s roster, including Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, Midland, Justin Moore, Carly Pearce, Preston Cooper, Jackson Dean, and Mae Estes.<\/p>\n

The HYBE-run company will operate under a new label name, and an announcement on the label’s new leadership will be made in the upcoming days.<\/p>\n
