Warner Chappell Music (WCM) Nashville has signed a global publishing agreement with singer-songwriter Margo Price.<\/p>\n
Alongside Price\u2019s<\/strong> deal, her longtime collaborator Jeremy Ivey<\/strong> has signed an administration agreement with Warner Chappell<\/strong>, according to the company.<\/p>\n Price\u2019s<\/strong> most recent album, Hard Headed Woman<\/em>, has earned two Grammy nominations, including Best Traditional Country Album, as well as a nod for Best Country Duo\/Group Performance for Love Me Like You Used To<\/em>, a collaboration with Tyler Childers<\/strong>. Childers is also signed to Warner Chappell Music.<\/p>\n Price<\/strong> released her debut album Midwest Farmer\u2019s Daughter<\/em> in 2016, via Jack White\u2019s Third Man Records<\/strong>. The album reached No.5 on Billboard\u2019s Americana\/Folk Albums chart and entered the Top 10 of the Top Country Albums chart.<\/p>\n Subsequent releases, including All American Made<\/em> (2017), That\u2019s How Rumors Get Starte<\/em>d (2020), and Strays<\/em> (2023), continued her chart presence in the Americana and folk categories.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been writing songs for decades now, so it feels empowering to be seen not only as an artist and a singer, producer and author, but also as a songwriter.”<\/p>\n MARGO PRICE<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Beyond her solo work, Price<\/strong> has collaborated with artists including Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, Mike Campbell <\/strong>and Orville Peck,<\/strong> and has also worked as a producer, most recently on Jessi Colter\u2019s<\/strong> 13-track 2023 album Edge of Forever<\/em>.<\/p>\n Recently, Price<\/strong> embarked on her Wild At Heart<\/em> tour, with stops in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Dallas, Austin and Nashville.<\/p>\n Commenting on the agreement, Price<\/strong> said: \u201cI\u2019ve been writing songs for decades now, so it feels empowering to be seen not only as an artist and a singer, producer and author, but also as a songwriter. This partnership is a true collaboration across our Nashville and Los Angeles teams \u2013 especially Christina [Wiltshire] and Greg [Sowders] \u2013 as we support Margo in continuing to shape the sound of her generation.\u201d<\/p>\n The signing adds Price<\/strong> to Warner Chappell Music\u2019s Nashville<\/strong> roster, which includes songwriters and artists such as Kacey Musgraves, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Morgan Wallen <\/strong>and Zach Bryan<\/strong>, while also strengthening the company\u2019s position in the Americana and roots space.<\/p>\n Elsewhere at Warner Chappell Music<\/a>, the publisher has recently signed Eagles<\/a> co-founder and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Bernie Leadon, as well as composer and producer Victor Le Masne<\/a>.<\/p>\n The deal comes amid a broader period of executive movement across major music companies in Nashville.<\/p>\n In September 2024, Warner Music Group veteran Gregg Nadel,<\/strong> who most recently served as President of Elektra Entertainment, was appointed<\/a> Co-Chair and Co-President of Warner Music Nashville, working alongside Cris Lacy<\/strong>, who has co-led the company for the past two years.<\/p>\n
