The achievement sees him reclaim the position back from Taylor Swift, who held the title for two consecutive years in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/taylor-swift-was-the-most-streamed-artist-on-spotify-in-2023-with-over-26-1bn-global-streams12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2023<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/taylor-swift-claims-title-of-spotifys-most-streamed-artist-for-second-straight-year-with-26-6bn-streams-in-20241\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor Swift achieved more than <strong>26.6 billion<\/strong> streams globally on Spotify in 2024, and <strong>26.1 billion <\/strong>on the platform in 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Superstar Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny previously dominated the platform from 2020 to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/with-18bn-streams-in-2022-bad-bunny-is-spotifys-most-streamed-artist-globally-for-the-third-year1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2022<\/a>, making this his fourth time reaching the top spot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Swift, who ended <b>Bad Bunny<\/b>&#8216;s three-year reign in 2023, fell to second place in this year&#8217;s rankings, followed by <b>The Weeknd<\/b>, <b>Drake<\/b>, and <b>Billie<\/b> <b>Eilish,<\/b> rounding out the top five.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The announcement came as part of Spotify&#8217;s annual Wrapped campaign released Wednesday (December 3). Users can now also view their top albums for the first time, alongside traditional metrics like top songs and genres.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Spotify also incorporated audiobooks into the personalized experience, introducing metrics for top audiobook genres and most-listened titles. <b>Rebecca Yarros<\/b>&#8216; <i>Fourth Wing <\/i>ranked as the platform&#8217;s top audiobook in Premium for 2025. The feature includes clips from authors such as <b>Dan<\/b> <b>Brown<\/b>, <b>James<\/b> <b>Patterson<\/b> and <b>Abby<\/b> <b>Jimenez<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In podcasting, <b><i>The Joe Rogan Experience<\/i><\/b> maintained its position as Spotify&#8217;s top podcast globally for the sixth consecutive year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Additionally, a new <b>&#8220;Fan Leaderboard&#8221; <\/b>shows users where they rank among their favorite artists&#8217; listeners worldwide based on total minutes streamed. The platform also <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.spotify.com\/2025-12-03\/wrapped-clubs-overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">introduced<\/a> <b>&#8220;Clubs,&#8221; <\/b>which sorts users into six categories representing different listening styles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Spotify also launched<a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.spotify.com\/2025-12-03\/wrapped-party-how-to\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <b>&#8220;Wrapped Party,&#8221; <\/b><\/a>an interactive feature that turns listening data into a competitive game users can play with friends.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\">For artists, Spotify released<b> Wrapped for Artists<\/b>, giving musicians and songwriters data about their listener base. The feature identifies &#8220;super listeners&#8221; or monthly active users who stream an artist&#8217;s music more than anyone else, and tracks when these fans peaked and their contribution to total streams.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Spotify data also revealed that more than <b>70,000<\/b> artists uploaded Clips through the platform, which appear in top listeners&#8217; feeds and Wrapped stories.
