Widely respected music executive Gregg Nadel has been elevated to a senior leadership position at Warner Records Group, in the newly created role of President of A&R.<\/p>\n

Based in Los Angeles, he reports to Warner Records Group CEO & Co-Chairman Aaron Bay-Schuck.<\/p>\n

Nadel, who has been with Warner Music Group for his entire 28-year career, was most recently Co-Chair & Co-President of Warner Music Nashville, now Warner Records Nashville.<\/p>\n

Nadel\u2019s appointment follows the recent alignment between Warner Records UK and Warner Records US<\/a> under the Warner Records Group umbrella.<\/p>\n

According to a press release, in his new post, Nadel “will help drive overall A&R strategy and global collaboration across the company\u2019s three major divisions, drawing on his wide-ranging experience on the A&R, marketing, and leadership fronts”.<\/p>\n

Warner Records Group includes Warner Records US, Warner Records UK<\/strong>, and Warner Records Nashville.<\/strong> The label group is described as “a collaborative collective of labels,” which “generates enhanced promotional muscle, unified marketing and media strategies, and combined data-analytics support”.<\/p>\n

At the same time, according to Warner, “each division maintains its independence and creative autonomy, reinforcing their long-standing unique cultures and brand identities”.<\/p>\n

Nadel will work closely with Joe Kentish<\/strong>, President of Warner Records UK; Karen<\/strong> Kwak<\/strong>, Head of A&R at Warner Records US; and Cris Lacy,<\/strong> who was recently named Chair & President of the newly rebranded Warner Records Nashville.<\/a><\/p>\n

Prior to his tenure at Warner Music Nashville, Nadel served as President of Elektra Entertainment for seven years.<\/p>\n

Nadel was previously General Manager of Elektra, prior to which he was SVP, A&R and Marketing, for Atlantic Records. He joined Atlantic straight out of college in 1997, serving in various A&R and Marketing posts.<\/p>\n

He has spearheaded high-profile campaigns for global superstars such as Ed Sheeran, who he worked with from the early days of Sheeran\u2019s career. Nadel has been named to Billboard\u2019s Power 100 list multiple times.<\/p>\n
