Stat Of the Week is supported by\u00a0music data analytics firm\u00a0<a class=\"link-external\" href=\"https:\/\/chartmetric.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Chartmetric<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\">Country singer Zach Bryan just broke a significant concert attendance record in the US.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A total of <strong>112,408<\/strong> fans watched Bryan perform on Saturday (September 27) at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan, setting a new record for the highest-attended ticketed concert in US history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">That\u2019s according to concert promoter <b>AEG<\/b> <b>Presents<\/b>,<i> <\/i>which confirmed the final count on Sunday (September 28).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Zach Bryan<\/b>\u2019s concert surpassed the previous record set by <b>George<\/b> <b>Strait<\/b>, who performed in front of <b>110,905<\/b> fans at Texas A&amp;M&#8217;s Kyle Field in 2024, and the <b>Grateful Dead<\/b>&#8216;s 1977 concert at Raceway Park in New Jersey, which drew <b>107,019<\/b> attendees.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Michigan Stadium<\/b> is the third-largest stadium globally and the largest in the US. While the facility has hosted soccer matches and hockey games, Saturday&#8217;s event marked its debut as a major concert venue, according to AEG.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The seven-hour show featured five acts, with <b>John<\/b> <b>Mayer<\/b> serving as special guest. Ryan Bingham and <b>The Texas Gentlemen, Joshua Slone<\/b>, and <b>Keenan<\/b> <b>O&#8217;Meara <\/b>also performed. The event generated <b>$5 million<\/b> in merchandise sales, setting another record, according to AEG.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The <b>University of Michigan <\/b>athletics department had projected the concert would bring in<b> $1.7 million <\/b>in net revenue. The department also indicated Saturday&#8217;s show is expected to be the first of additional concerts planned for the stadium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Bryan has experienced significant commercial success over the past year.
