Mdundo forecasts <strong>40 million<\/strong> MAUs by the end of the fiscal year (June 30), which would be an <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>11% YoY<\/strong><\/span> increase. The company doesn&#8217;t offer a breakdown of paying and ad-supported subscriptions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">      <div class=\"mb-advert__incontent\">      <div class=\"mb-advert mb-advert__spu\" data-loaded=\"no\" data-name=\"300x250 Sponsor MPU #1\" data-params=\"dfp_spu1\" id=\"dfp_spu1\"><\/div>      <\/div>      <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mdundo reported a <strong>36%<\/strong> narrowing of its EBITDA loss for H1, with EBITDA coming in at <strong>DKK -2.1 million<\/strong> (<strong>-$305,000<\/strong>), compared to DKK -3.5 million a year earlier. The smaller loss is the result of \u201coptimizing the company\u2019s operations around core revenue drivers,\u201d Mdundo said in its earnings report.<\/p>\n<p>The streaming service is now setting its sights on a new revenue driver: African music fans outside Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur newly launched Progressive Web App (PWA) targets audiences outside Africa, tapping into the growing global interest in African music,\u201d Nielsen and Drescher said.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">      <div class=\"mb-advert__incontent\">      <div class=\"mb-advert mb-advert__spu\" data-loaded=\"no\" data-name=\"300x250 Sponsor MPU #2\" data-params=\"dfp_spu2\" id=\"dfp_spu2\"><\/div>      <\/div>      <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mdundo says it sees \u201cstrong interest in the service\u201d from African diaspora communities in the US, UK, Germany, and France.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s track library remains focused on African music, with <strong>87,000<\/strong> new African songs uploaded during the period, bringing the total library to <strong>772,000<\/strong> tracks.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Our transition towards a subscription-led model is accelerating.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Martin Nielsen and Jesper Drescher, Mdundo<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Mdundo has left its guidance for the full fiscal year unchanged.
