Other news outlets like <i>CBS News<\/i> also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/kanye-west-caa-talent-agency-drops-ye-antisemitism\/\"><span class=\"s1\">confirmed<\/span><\/a> the news, citing a source familiar with the matter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Kanye (aka Ye) had been with CAA since 2016 after a one-year break with the agency when he joined United Talent Agency (UTA).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The agency\u2019s reported move follows <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/music\/news\/uta-kanye-west-boycott-jeremy-zimmer-letter-staff-1235412225\/\"><span class=\"s1\">calls<\/span><\/a> by UTA Chief Jeremy Zimmer to his staff on Sunday (October 23) to \u201csupport the boycott of Kanye West,\u201d as reported by <i>Variety<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cAs a company we stand for a wide diversity of voices and ideas. But we can\u2019t support hate speech, bigotry or anti-semitism. Please support the boycott of Kanye West. Powerful voices spewing hatred have frequently driven people to do hateful things. There should be no tolerance anywhere for West\u2019s anti-Semitism. This is a moment in history where the stakes are high and being open about our values, and living them, is essential. Silence\u00a0and inaction are\u00a0not an option.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">West\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kanyewest?\"><span class=\"s1\">Twitter<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/kanyewest\/?hl=en\"><span class=\"s1\">Instagram<\/span><\/a> accounts have been <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/6220916\/kanye-west-twitter-instagram\/\"><span class=\"s1\">locked<\/span><\/a> following his antisemitic posts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">His comments sparked outrage and condemnation from artists and other members of the entertainment and media community including Saturday Night Live, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sarah Silverman, Meghan McCain, Jack Antonoff, Ariana Grande, 50 Cent, and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;Hate speech is never OK or excusable. We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform,\u201d CEO Modi Wiczyk, CEO Asif Satchu, and COO Scott Tenley wrote in a joint statement to the media.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">There are also growing calls for brands to end their relationship with Ye after JPMorgan Chase ended its banking relationship with Yeezy, the artist\u2019s brand, and after Gap Inc. and fashion house Balenciaga severed ties with him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cBalenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist,\u201d parent company Kering <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/fashion-news\/fashion-scoops\/demna-balenciaga-breaks-up-with-ye-anti-semitic-threats-hate-speech-1235397358\/\"><span class=\"s1\">confirmed<\/span><\/a> to <i>Women\u2019s Wear Daily.<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Endeavor\u2019s Emanuel also called on music streaming companies to join the boycott.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cApple and Spotify, which host West\u2019s music, whoever organizes West\u2019s tours, and Adidas, which collaborates with West on his fashion line, should all stop working with him.
